Brian Wertheim (b. 1989) is an American photographer and director from Los Angeles. His work ranges from street photography to documentary realism imbued with ‘fiction’ or skepticism. His practice acknowledges the resurgence of ancient symbols, culture, and ritual in our modern time––he has coined the term “paleo-realism” to describe this way of seeing.

His short non-fiction film, “MR SOMEBODY,” was an official selection at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival and other Oscar-qualifying film festivals.
